Shannon Lynn Best was arrested in Raleigh, N.C. for “fondling and kissing” a female student. I’d tell you what the actual charge is, but I have no idea what it is.
Is having sex with your students even illegal in North Carolina? According to this article, there is no age of consent in regards to teacher/pupil sex and “hardcore lesbian action” isn’t a crime, so who knows.

I do know that the age of consent for non-teachers in NC is 16.
I only know this because my friend dated a 17 year old when he was 24, and the law somehow made it OK… with him, at least.
